What I did at work today: we have tons of unlabeled specimens in the insect museum that are no good for research purposes. I used them to make displays for the beginning biology classes. This one is to show the diversity in size and color of Coleoptera.

I met Hazel at an Audubon Society art festival today. She is a spotted owl and her white feathers are a mutation. Her feathers are malformed and she cannot fly, but she is well taken care of! (at Montgomery Park)
